The Hempstead ISD Athletics Program consists of a coordinated sports program for boys and girls in grades 7-12 and is governed by the University Interscholastic League in Austin, Texas. Neighborhood patrons form Athletic Booster Clubs to help enrich the school's participation in extracurricular activities.
